The fairytale of the Secret Forest – Joulukka

Once upon a time…

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, when Santa was young and life moved slowly, Santa Claus had a very big dream. He wanted to spread kindness and goodwill to everyone in the world, from small children to big children (also known as adults).

As one of the most talented graduates of the Elf School, he knew all about elf logistics, the art of reindeer flying, needlework and the great craft of woodworking.

Then Santa found a secret…

One day, while practising flying with his reindeer and chasing the Northern Lights near his hometown of Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland, Santa spotted a very special place deep in the forest. It was filled with snow and magic, with forest elves peeking out from behind the trees.

He had discovered Joulukka!

Santa Claus came down from the star-filled sky and met one of Joulukka’s wisest elves, Elfiina. Together, they used Elfiina’s ancient elf knowledge to create a very special training filled with secrets and magic: Santa’s Helpers Training.

A few decades later, as the story of Santa Claus spread around the world and humans began sending him letters, the forest elves established a network of well-hidden, top-secret Santa’s Command Centers to coordinate Christmas activity around the world.

As the magic of Christmas grew…

As the years passed, the elves became busier and busier at the Secret Command Center. When the number of kind children and grown-ups around the world grew to more than seven billion, they needed a bigger workshop to make sure every Christmas wish could be taken care of.

And so, the elves expanded their secret toy workshops into a real, full-sized Santa’s Toy Factory.

That is how the magical world of the forest elves became the place we know today as Santa Claus Secret Forest – Joulukka
