Guided by the Guardian of Lapland, you’ll explore the forest through sound, scent and touch before taking part in a blind tasting of Lappish delicacies. The experience ends with a three-course dinner by the fire in a traditional Kota, exclusively for your family.

Discover Lapland through your senses
Deep in the Secret Forest live the Guardians of Lapland, keepers of ancient stories and protectors of the northern forest. The Guardian welcomes your family into this hidden world, where the trees have stories to tell and there’s more to the forest than first meets the eye.
Your adventure begins outdoors. With a blindfold over your eyes, the Guardian guides you through a sensory experience in the forest. Listen to the sounds around you, breathe in the northern air and notice the scents and textures of nature in a way you might not have before.
Next, step inside a traditional wooden Kota for a guided blind tasting of Lappish delicacies. With your eyes covered, familiar flavours may surprise you. The Guardian introduces you to the ingredients and traditions of Lapland, inviting you to guess what you’re tasting along the way.
As a keepsake from your time in the forest, the Guardian presents your family with a small gift.
Then settle beside the open fire for a three-course Lappish dinner. Enjoy the flavours of the Arctic and the warmth of the Kota, with time to talk about what you’ve heard, felt and tasted.
Outside, the forest carries on around you. In winter, snow covers the trees. In summer, the midnight sun brings long, light-filled evenings. Your time with the Guardian is a chance to enjoy a different side of Lapland, at a slower pace.
