On New Year’s Eve, the Secret Forest glows with lanterns, bonfires, and soft winter magic. Joulukka New Year Special invites your family into this enchanting world, where Finnish traditions blend with the joyful spirit of the elves for an unforgettable celebration.
Your evening begins as the elves welcome you into the festive warmth of Joulukka. A delicious New Year buffet featuring seasonal Lappish flavours awaits, offering a comforting and joyful start to the night.
After dinner, the forest comes alive with gentle activity. You are invited to gather by the bonfires, enjoy a heated sledge ride through the snowy paths, and write down your wishes for the year ahead to be carried into the forest’s care. The Guardian of the Forest shares the traditional art of tin melting, a beloved Finnish custom that reveals hints about the year to come.
Music fills the air as a live DJ sets a soft winter rhythm outdoors, and guests are free to explore the glowing forest at their own pace, taking in the magic of the Arctic night.
During the evening, families are welcomed into a private meeting with Santa Claus, who offers warm wishes for the year ahead.
As midnight approaches, everyone gathers beneath the northern sky. Together with the elves, you count down the final moments of the year, raise a glass of sparkling wine, and welcome the New Year among snowy pines, gentle lights, and the spirit of Lapland.
