Behind Joulukka, SantaPark and Prosanta Santa Claus delivery services is a Finnish couple, Ilkka Länkinen and Katja Ikäheimo-Länkinen. They has been working in experience industry since 1997. ProSanta Ltd. started by offering very detailed and professional Santa Claus performances and has grown into a true fairytale that consist of several locations offering magical experiences with true professionalism.

The idea behind Joulukka was to create the most personal and private of Christmas experiences, since we are situated near the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. We wanted to build a place where the Christmas tales would come alive: elves with long noses and big ears, a friendly Santa Claus with his big belly, who always has time for children, and magical creatures dancing with the children by the campfire, while real Aurora Borealis light up the sky and the children’s happy faces.

Joulukka was built on private land, on to the shore of Sierijärvi-lake, in the middle of a forest. The sound and scent of a real forest, arctic climate and the magnificient scenery together created a unique environment that we didn’t want to ruin. Therefore we built Joulukka as natural as possible using wood, stones and logs. Even the water is pumped from a well. We use candles for light and prepare food by the fire. The furniture is antique, and we make sure to recycle everything that cannot be burn. We also encourage our customers to enjoy Joulukka’s close-to-nature atmosphere and to cherish nature-friendly values.

ProSanta Oy took part of Experience&Green DQN Quality1000 training. Green DQN® -program is environmental quality assurance program for Finnish tourism centers and areas.
